We protect our coffee heritage:  Over the years, Kenyan farmers have not been getting their fair share of profit which has led the farmers to sell their lands as real estate instead of coffee farming. This is catastrophic for preserving our coffee heritage.

 

Fair Trade: We ensure that the farmers get a fair share of profit through Cooperatives and direct trade. We are currently working with KEDOVO e.V to ensure that this mission is achieved. Over 1700 farmers from Ichamama and Githiru cooperatives benefit from the fair prices. This ensures that they continue with Coffee farming to sustain their livelihood and provide for their families.

 

Responsibility to the community: Education plays a key role in eradication of poverty. That’s why our commitment in support for education in Kenya is important. We have currently partnered with Stiftung African children Help - Gerd Hagmaier Foundation to help achieve this vision. 10% of profit from every Kilogram you purchase will support schools in Kenya with Stiftung African Children Help - Gerd Hagmaier. We also encourage you to contribute directly to them, to further the agenda of child education.

Responsibility to the Environment: Our bags are aluminum-free aroma preservation bags which consists of black kraft paper and barrier film. This barrier is made of environmentally friendly PE film laminate, which requires less energy to produce than is the case with aluminum. They also feature highly effective oxygen barrier that maximizes product shelf life and protects against microbes.
